Can you believe I actually took the time to update my own BLOG!! It has been a rocky few months for me in my singles game, and as a result of that I have neglected my website and my fans. I apologize, but when you are not winning the last thing you want to do is update your blog. As most of you know Europe did not go so well for me in singles this year as it did in 2008. Nadia Petrova and I were able to win a few doubles titles and make it to the quarterfinals of the French Open which was cool. The downside to not winning on the road is how long the European season felt.
After Wimby it was nice to get home for two weeks before we had to get back on the road. sometimes I wish I would have had at least a month off. I just finished up in Toronto and am taking the week off before the US Open so I can clear the head a little and work on my game. I wish I had more to report for you right now, but if you want to check out the wtatour.com site you can read up on the player blog that I did during the Cincinnati Tournament last week.
As always, feel free to make comments and ask questions as I should get back to you all much sooner this time! Thanks for the continued support.

Hi Bethanie – Enjoy your week off…and good luck at the U.S. Open!!!

It was fun watching in Toronto. Keep pushing – you’ve got am amazing game. Great chatting w/ husband as another Albany alumni. Good luck at Open
Hi Bethanie,
I know you’ve trained with coach Jay Schroeder, could you possibly elaborate on the training? For those of us who can’t work with Jay in person, it’s hard to piece together details on his program.
Are the iso-extremes really all he has you do? What kind of results did you get from them? I know you’re busy, but literally any insight you can give would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick
Saw that you won your opening match today! I hope to see you still alive in the singles when i’m at the Open on Saturday! Good luck!

Bettany,

Regardless of the rockiness of your tennis game, your tube socks outfit ROCKS

Bethanie what is up!! I watched you at the USO and you are one of the most intense players out there. It was so fun to watch you playing doubles with Nadia. I hope you win and get to the Williams sisters and knock them out!!! When you are on court you look like you are ready to knock someones head off and it was great to see!!! Good Luck and KEEP Winning!!!!
Hi Bethanie.
I’m from India and a huge fan of yours..I know it’s been a tough few months for you.But I feel that you’ve been a bit unlucky with the draw this year. Anyways you gave a great fight in each match. Congrats for all the doubles titles. Cheers for that… I want to wish you all the best for the rest of the year..Go for it..And Good luck..
Hey Bethanie.
Congrats on a good showing at the U.S Open. Shame that you have to keep meeting Venus so early in the slams all the time it seems like, but I was very excited to see you on the big court. Good luck in Quebec and congrats on the first round win against Vavara!! Win the title.

Hi Bethanie, sorry I didn’t see you play this year at the Open. I’m not sure why I missed your first round match, I’ve seen you the past couple of years or so and really like your game and emotion. I was in the first row of the your grandstand match last year. Were you at Louie Armstrong watching a match? You walked right by me but I was too star struck to say anything. I stand out a little bit in crowds. Good luck at your next tournament. You can play awsome!
Michelle
Hey Bethanie!
I am a big fan and always cheer for you when I see you are entered in a tourney! I was just wondering what you consider your biggest strengths on the court to be?
You are doing great in doubles!! I hope you can get back on track in singles!!! Good luck!
